Deputy Saves Cat’s Life After Accident
In Ascension Parish, Louisiana, a homeowner is grateful for the heroic acts of neighbors and deputy Mike Scott, who saved his beloved pet’s life. Deputy Scott was responding to a call, as he had done many times over his 34+ year career. He was quoted saying, “A cat had been stuck between a garage door of a residence and the wall,” A call that was a bit odd to him, even with his years of experience. “Never in all of my years was I prepared to encounter what I saw upon my arrival,” he added.
When the deputy arrived on the scene, he saw that multiple neighbors, and even some local construction workers were in the process of trying to save the animal. With the help of all these volunteers and the deputy, the cat was removed safely and was still alive! The Deputy stated, “The neighbors were very helpful as we cautiously removed the upper frame molding that allowed some space for us to remove the cat,” He then added, “With a joint effort with neighbors we were able to remove the cat alive.” Hurray for good neighbors and great officers!
Bella is Puurrrfectly Fine!
The homeowner returned home to find the crowd and the deputy holding his pet Bella. He was thankful and shocked that this had happened and said his cat must have been sleeping on the door when it happened. He was very grateful to all the volunteers for rescuing his beloved pet. After a quick check, it was found that Bella was completely unharmed! This is a real miracle as she appeared lifeless at first glance!
Deputy Scott was also thankful as he was quoted saying, “I am not much of a cat person, but no one wants to see an animal suffer,” He then added, “After losing so much from the flood, I was happy that I could save the homeowner’s cat. Thank God for miracles and good neighbors.” This is one story that has a happy ending, and we are glad it does!
